Introducing More Than a Latch –
Your Nutrition Journey, Empowered!
Meet Kylie
Hi, I'm Kylie — and if you're here, chances are you're navigating one of the most beautiful, exhausting, and overwhelming seasons of life.
My Story
When my daughter was born prematurely, my feeding journey looked nothing like I had planned. I spent weeks pumping and waiting for my milk supply to come in, supplementing with formula in the meantime, and navigating the emotional weight of a start that felt harder than it should. That experience cracked something open in me — a deep understanding that feeding your baby rarely goes exactly as expected, and that what families need most in those moments isn't judgment. It's someone in their corner.
My son's arrival brought a whole new set of challenges. He was full term, but shortly after he was born I was readmitted to the hospital with complications. In those early days, we turned to donor milk to bridge the gap and support our feeding journey through that transition. Once again, I found myself on the other side of the appointments — a provider who became a patient, leaning on the very resources and support systems I help families access every day.
Both of my children have also experienced food sensitivities and true allergies, which has given me a firsthand understanding of just how stressful and emotionally draining it can be to navigate feeding when something feels off with your baby.
These experiences don't just inform how I practice — they're the reason I practice.
What I Bring to Every Appointment
I hold a Master's degree in Dietetics from Iowa State University (2018) and a Bachelor's in Dietetics from Arizona State University (2014). I've been a Registered Dietitian since 2020 and an IBCLC since 2022 — and I haven't stopped learning since.
My specialized training includes:
Master IBCLC — Oral Anatomy & Tongue Tie Assessment (2025)
Low Milk Supply — Lactation Hub (2024)
Bottle Refusal — Rachel O'Brien (2025)
Flange Fitting & Pumping — Babies in Common
CST Workshop — Lori Hendricks (2023)
CPR/First Aid — Current
What makes my approach unique is the combination of both specialties under one roof. As an RDN and IBCLC, I can look at your feeding challenges and your nutritional needs together because so often, they're connected in ways that a single provider might miss.
How I Show Up for Families
I believe fed & support for feeding is best — full stop. Breast, bottle, formula, donor milk, combo feeding — I have been there personally and I support it all professionally. There is no pressure, no guilt, and no agenda in my appointments. Just honest, evidence-based guidance tailored to your goals and your reality.
I also believe that lactation support should be accessible to every family, regardless of circumstances which is why I accept multiple insurance plans, offer discounted rates for financial hardship, and do my best to see new clients promptly so you're never left waiting when you need help most.
When I'm not supporting families, I'm soaking up time with my own family. You can usually find me camping, gardening, traveling, reading, or sharing coffee with a friend. I'm a real person, not just a provider — and I think that matters when you're letting someone into one of the most personal seasons of your life.
I'm so glad you're here. Let's figure this out together.
